Which tikka for long strings of fire?

If I was culling groups like that, and my job was to cull as mah as possible, my choice would not be a bolt action rifle. It would be an ar style

I have a culling job coming up and need a new rifle.
Will definitely be a 223, will definitely be a tikka.

The biggest worry i have is poi shift during longer strings of fire with the lighter barrel models.
I'm expecting and preparing for scenarios that require multiple mag changes and 30+ continuous shots.
**obviously im not expecting sub moa accuracy across 30+ continuous shots, just trying to minimise the impact of barrel heat as much as possible.

I'm thinking of going with the CTR for the 10 round mags and the heavier barrel.

***unfortunately an AR15 with 30 round mags are out unless i jump through 47,000 government hoops, coz Australia......

Cheers 🤙
I have the stainless tikka tx3 lite with 24” it’s what I cull with also. I have both mamga and NDr mags I prefer NDr just due to size.

No issues with large shot strings of 20, out side of suppressor mirage.

I’m still using factory stock but I took a dremel and floated it.

Australia I reckon. Depending on how close, 12 ga pump and buckshot. Haha

I’d get a tikka bolt and let er rip then. Paralysis via over analysis

It's so f**ked over here that we can't have a pump 12ga, yet I can have a pump centrefire rifle like a 7615 and some "AR" style straight pull/pump.
Our laws were made by people with the deductive reasoning skills of a turd.

Technically I can get an actual AR, but the extra background checks, financial disclosure for my business and a whole bunch of other stuff involved makes it almost not worth it for 1 big cull job.
If I had a handful of properties that I could justify the cost and time involved, I'd consider it.

hitting a bunch of goats with a suppressed CTR is going to be too easy accuracy-wise but impossible numbers-wise, you'd get maybe 10-20 before they ran off too far to see/shoot. to make it more fun you need the 308 CTR and subsonic ammo. probably need a 20 MOA rail for that poor scope. we'll let you pass with a D-, 60% on that 100 head. but we hope you'll try to get a C+ or a B even. and we're not grading you on a curve.

i tried subsonic ammo out of my 308 T3 tactical once. i was sighted in with real ammo at 100....saw the dirt kick up about 30 yards before the target. that missing 1800fps really makes a difference ha. now a .300 BLK with 220 subsonics suppressed, that's fuunnnn.

good luck!
