I inadvertently came across this thread and can say I became the thread guinea pig about a week ago. LolAnyone have experience with this one? Seems to fit the bill. Although maybe not flush and same thing just metal?
Fully flush is only gonna fit 2rds just so ya know.Still would prefer flush but over the factory 4 rounder I’m very happy with it.
Yes sir, thanks! Just meant I’d prefer flush, but not at the expense of only 2 rounds.Fully flush is only gonna fit 2rds just so ya know.
A shorter (than the 4rd) body could get worked on eventually but probably best to prove out materials and dimensions before spending the time on it.Yes sir, thanks! Just meant I’d prefer flush, but not at the expense of only 2 rounds.

Even an M+ sized cartridge in a flush fit only fits 2rds. I haven't taken the time to try a flush 223 version yet.
Talking fully flush:

Yeah I personally don't know that a 2rd truly flush appeals to me but folks had interest so why not try it out.Looks great! That Beretta 3 rounder is flush enough for me. I can barely notice it’s there now.
Now just trying to find a solution for a more “flush” fitting XLR mag.

I sent @Foster_65 some first attempt mag bodies to test, not sure if he's had a chance to see how they work out (testing both the material choice and dimensions, etc). @ABCWest printed out some himself in a different material, in that material combined with the 4rd PRC spring/follower the side walls were flexing out. A stiffer material and also probably using a 3rd tikka spring (vs the 4rd PRC one) remains to be tested out (keep that in mind @Foster_65 when you get a chance to mess with those, if the 4rd spring is putting too much pressure on that flush PRC mag, try using a spring off one of your other tikka 3rd mags).
Thanks! To confirm, will the Beretta magazine fit in the factory Tikka rifle, or is the Beretta bottom metal required?I inadvertently came across this thread and can say I became the thread guinea pig about a week ago. Lol
I actually bought this magazine & the Beretta bottom metal for my 6.5prc. The bottom metal was not quite as snug a fit as factory plastic, but still fit nicely.
The 3 round magazine is not quite “flush,” but it is a notable improvement over the 4 round plastic. It protrudes ~1/4”? Still would prefer flush but over the factory 4 rounder I’m very happy with it.
I will say that with the factory plastic bottom, the 3 round metal magazine fit perfect right away. Once I switched to the Beretta metal bottom, I had minor fitment issues with the 3 round metal magazine. You had to slam that sucker in and it would not eject on its own. Some very minor filing and oil and it pops in and out nicely, now. 5 minute fix.
The Beretta 3 round magazine fit perfect with the factory plastic bottom. Snapped right in with factory rifle, some minor filling needed for metal bottom in order to eject properly. For me.Thanks! Yes, the 6.5prc comes from the factory with a long action bolt stopMight be a dumb question, but can you run a LA bolt stop with a SA magazine? My 6.5PRC was originally a 30-06, don't want to buy a new bolt stop if not necessary.
Thanks, I assumed it wouldn't be a problem but was thinking about potential feed issues. Good to know about factory 6.5.Yes, the 6.5prc comes from the factory with a long action bolt stop
