I agree with most of the above comments. I have a 5900 and really like it. I mostly use it for 3 days +/- and find I don’t use the lid. I leave the lid and home and compress the top section.
A couple things I would add. If budget isn’t an issue and you want a new pack, I think you’ll like it. If you’d rather spend your money elsewhere you might be able to be comfortable in your current pack. I’d suggest you get your stuff together and put it in there to try it out. You’ll likely need the load shelf for your food as was mentioned.
If you’re going in and setting up a base camp I’d probably just use the load shelf for the food. If you’re planning on being mobile and keeping camp on your back, then I’d probably lean more towards a bag like the 5900 so you don’t have as much weight spread away from your back throughout the hunt. Just my $0.02.
