Which puffy to get?

I have one as well. Very impressed with the warmth to weight ratio and wind blocking as mentioned by @Rleask. It replaced my go to rifle season puffy for the last 8 years that had 194 grams of down and weighed 10 oz more (with 14 grams less down)

I just picked up the montbell plasma ex 1000 and holy smokes does it pack some warmth for it's weight.

Feathered Friends Helios is super warm. Some don’t like the shorter cut, but its design/material and warmth are stellar. It is much warmer than the SG Grumman, warmer than my Kuiu Super down pro and slightly less than the Montbell. All great jackets. I typically wear it in November these days and winter as does not pack quite as small as the kuiu.

I’m really wanting to try one but haven’t been able to find it anywhere.

Which montbell model is that? Thanks

The new Outdoor Vitals puffy arrived after all my hunts this year. However I have been wearing here in Wisconsin outside to the range and what not. It is amazingly warm for how light it is and seems to me to be very well made. I will take it to Colorado for February and March and wear it there to see how it does.

The outdoor vitals one is super warm and well made. No shiny fabric. When I was researching it had alot more fill than the SG coat. It doesnt pack down very small but that is not because its bulky or poor quality. It just has a TON of down in it. Im 5'9 185lbs wide shoulders, muscular and it fits awesome plenty of room to layer under but not bulky or loose. The tail on the back has a good lenght that doesnt ride up when glassing seated.

Anybody running the feathered friends Helios? The weight to down fill/ power ratio looks amazing.
It is exceptionally warm. I’m preparing to list my in the classifieds. Just don’t hunt the late season often - filling tags with the bow - good problem to have. If I did hunt in colder weather it would be the one I’d take.
