The trip is archery elk in the Holy Cross Wilderness, Sept. 12-20. Sleeping bag is a Sierra Designs Ridge Runner +15°.
Pad Option 1: Klymit Inertia X Wave Recon (48" x 25" x 1.5")
Weight: 11.5oz
Packed size: 3" x 7"
Pad Option 2: Therm-a-Rest Women's ProLite Plus (66" x 20" x 1.5") [bought it for the gf]
Weight: 20.0 oz
Packed size: 4.8" x 11"
I keep going back and forth and can't make up my mind. The Klymit is so much smaller and lighter. It's awesome for 3 season stuff. But if the weather gets gnarly, snowy, and below freezing, I know the Therm-a-Rest would be more comfortable. But for all I know, it might be 50 degrees every night in September too.
