1 or 2 moa dots aren’t bad. Especially when keeping shots within 250ish yards. Anything beyond that and non-smokeless muzzle loaders start to peeder out. If your shooting .45 with a stout load of bh209 or smokeless maybe you can push to 325y as a theoretical maximum. Once these big bullets slow down wind drift starts to be a major factor.Interesting… doesn’t the red dot start to take up a lot of the animal/target at long distances?
