My Daughter has been hunting with a .300 Win Mag since she was 10. I was kind of sad that is what she wanted but braked it kicks less than the 7mm-08 I held in trust for her.

I’m thinking of getting the same, not sure if it will be 300 prc or 7mm prc yetHavak PH3
I went with a 300 WM. Seems like a nice rifle. Hoping to get to the range this weekend to see how it shootsI’m thinking of getting the same, not sure if it will be 300 prc or 7mm prc yet
I had a 257 Weatherby as well. It was one that was produced by Remington for a limited time. Loved that rifle. I eventually sold it a couple years ago, to get my 6.5 PRC. I’m glad I did it now. Such a way more versatile and capable rifle than the 257 Weatherby. It was my first bolt action I ever bought and the first caliber I started out reloading. Got a huge mule deer with it and a few other deer. Hardly used the gun in the very long time I had it.The 300wm is for me. My son ended up with the 6.5 prc. He has only shot it a couple times but his response after the first shot was, "this doesn't kick at all, less than your 257 wthby". So I'm pretty sure we made the right choice. I'm sure the weight of the B-14 HMR helps with recoil.
