Yeah maybe. But I crush trout most of the time. I don’t fish pressured water though. Wild trout in unpressured water are opportunistic I’ve found rather than critical of my tying. But then again, I sometimes hit the rivers by the the resorts with all the guides and don’t have any problems there either. You may think this take is “stupid” but what looks stupid to me is a guy in $2k worth of gear not catching fish. I wear board shorts, and no shirt half the time with a handful of flys in a ziplock in my pocket. My kids do the same and out fish most grown men. Presentation and reading water trumps fly recipe every time.
