So I own and wear a little sitka gear, kuiu, and soon will have some kryptek. I think its all quality stuff but I will be buying more soon. My question is which do you prefer and why. I apologize if this topic has been beat to death in the past.

I have a little of everything. Maybe instead of picking one I will just tell you a couple pieces that I really like!!! I really like my sitka jet stream jacket. Favorite jacket I have ever had for the climate I hunt!!! I don't think for strictly hunting pants you can beat the kuiu attack pants for versatility. I think my sitka base layers are softer than others I have but I have a kuiu top that has been abused and still looks and functions brand new! For what's it's worth... The best part of all I bet in the next three years my wardrobe will change again and I will have some more favorites! It's a vicious cycle :)

I love my KUIU clothing. I have not tried the others but that is because I see no reason to. The attack pants are amazing. I hunt from near 100 deg to the 30's in them and have not one complaint. I also bust oak brush a lot and after 4 seasons I have one small hole in them. I also love their merino but they have changed the blend so I don't know about the stuff now. So to answer your question I use KUIU because I have found something that works for me and where I hunt and I see no reason to spend money trying to fix what aint broke.

I've owned "full kits" of all three (Sitka, KUIU and Kryptek) and prefer KUIU by a large margin. I particularily like the breathability of KUIU over the other two. I"ve reduced my Kryptek to whitetail clothing and use KUIU on all my mountain hunts.

I decided to try a few kuiu items this year as I was getting tired of the Sitka prices. Well, long story short, I have sold or given away all of my Sitka and replaced with kuiu, except my stormfront lite jacket. I wore it all day Saturday in the rain, with Chugach pants , and my upper body was soaked by 10 am, lower body stayed bone dry all day long. Kuiu has my vote hands down

I bought the Kuiu Attack pants and some of the ultra merino. All awesome stuff. I plan to add more pieces this year. You can't beat it, especially for the price. The ultra merino pants that zip off are the cats meow.

I have never used any KUIU or Sitka, but I have used First Lite and Kryptek. I won't pay full price so all of my current camo clothing is bought used or out of the bargain cave from Cabelas. With that being said, I have used the FL Stormtight and Uncompaghre jackets (which I recently sold because they were too big) and purchase a large amount of Kryptek. I mainly bought the Kryptek because of its availability at the time for me to try on and make sure it fit right. I bought a set of bibs for stand hunting, a pair of mid weight pants, a Cerdic Hoodie and a Borealis jacket from Cabelas and spent around $250. I bought a set of the lightweight Valhalla pants in highlander, the Kratos puffy and Posieden rain jacket in highlander off the rokslide classifieds for about $200. I used each of these pieces in Montana this year and was very happy with each of them. This weekend I will be picking up another heavier jacket from Kryptek from a buddy for a great price. I also use Kryptek because I get a discount for being in the military. Kuiu and Sitka don't offer me that. I have nothing against them, they are probably great clothing lines, but I haven't gotten a chance to use them yet. I like the sizing and fit of the Kryptek so as of now, I don't think I will be doing any changing.

I've had sitka first lite and Kuiu I have sold all of the sitka but one pair of pants (mountain ascent) and bino bivy as well as all of the first lite in favor of Kuiu. The materials seem superior and the fit and function are super as well. It's all high quality so try some of all and stick with what works best for you. I have no experience with kryptek gear they receive less than stellar reviews from folks not on their pro staff furthermore as well as the Kuiu performs I see no reason to try it out.

To me it depends on what gear you are after. As for base layers I love First Lite, very durable and love the new camo pattern as well. For rain gear it is hard to pick First Lite is nice and not as loud when bow hunting but I also like KUIU rain gear. Puffy doesn’t matter KUIU makes a jacket that is the same as every mountaineering companies. First lite Puffy a little heaver but more versatile. Pants.- I like KUIU attack and the chinook. I prefer to mix and match. I do like the new Sitka 90% jacket for a soft shell but have only tried it on and not had it in the field.

I think Kuiu makes great rain gear and their superdown is pretty cool. I think value wise Kryptek is better in some aspects like their primaloft puffy stuff for example. Sitka seems expensive all the way around for me. I have used a bit of each and still use some kryptek, but my rain gear and puffy stuff for mountain hunts is all Westcomb and Golite for the most part.

Not camo, but IMO better performance for cheaper.

Thanks for the replies guys! I honestly like the fit of my kuiu a little better than my sitka stuff, but short of trading it off for some Kuiu i'll be hanging on to it. I couldn't give a crap about matching camo patterns so a lot of times I'm running a little of both. Looking forward to trying out the kryptek stuff. The basic pants and tops are a smidge cheaper than kuiu from what I've seen, and definitely cheaper than sitka.
