Which Caliber?

I shot them both again on Saturday. Man, it was a tough decision process but the ‘06 gets the nod.

Longer shots id go .270 any shot inside of 300 yards id go 06. I think the 270 is a little more versatile at all ranges though
 
Shoot .270 rounds out of the 30-06 or 30-06 rounds out of the .270. That way you don’t have to choose. It works like that, right? :)
 
My grandpa had a saying: "There are two types of deer hunters, those who use a .30-06 and those who should."
 
I've seen a 180 grain take out the entire front quarter on a deer with a poor hit. I'd opt for the 130. As stated above, more than enough to get the job done. I hunt deer with a 150 grain 30.06, but that's as high as I'll go
