About to start building this year’s arrows. Swapping gears and starting from scratch .
I need durable as i can break a bowling ball.

I will be using the same arrows out of both my compound and recurve for all game
Don’t really want to have to monkey with different weights from critter to critter . Biggest critter will be an elk (maybe) but this year will be chasing white tails and piggies

Hoyt RX 7 - 65 lb at 27” draw with 175 gr iron will fixed blade SB
Hoyt Satori 65 lb draw 175 SB

I know the 175 is a little overkill for the above game but it’s what the recurve tunes best with and I’m notoriously unorganized and knowing me I’ll grab the wrong points for the wrong bow on the way out the door.

Looking at Easton FMJ 5.0 MM match

Day6 arrows

Grizzly Stik

Gold Tip

I personally would have separate sets of arrows for my recurve and compound. I would expect that the arrow length and spine that works best for the recurve would be longer and weaker than what would work best for the compound. I would also want feathers or soft vanes on my recurve arrows and stiffer vanes on my compound arrows. Heads could be interchangeable if you wanted.

Of your potential arrow list, the only one I would dismiss out of hand is Grizzlystik. They're overpriced, and the claimed advantages of a tapered shaft are hogwash.

Gold Tip offers a dozen plus arrow models. Generally speaking, GT is as good as any other name brand arrow manufacturer, but you'll have to narrow it down to a specific model to get a meaningful opinion/comparison vs. the other options you're considering.

@Mighty Mouse . You are correct I should have clarified a little bit but in my head made sense… but that’s also the 4&5 am delirium making me think I’m more articulate than I am.

I want to use the same arrow brand so components are interchangeable, but I do plan on using feathers on the recurve arrows and vanes on compound arrows

Gotcha.

It's hard to go wrong with good old Gold Tip Hunters. They're tough, (relatively) cheap, and use strong, simple full insertion flanged inserts with standard threads.
