140 accubond would be my choice. Factory ammo is sub half moa in mine and crushed my mule deer at 310 yards this year.

My buddy has a mountain ascent that eats 140 grain accubonds and spits them out sub moa all day.
.030" in a custom proof and .010" in a T/C Encore (both 280AI's). With the Hammer's in multiple cartridges I have loaded close to .030" or so off the lands but so they fit in the magazine and then work up the powder charges. I haven't had to change the seat depth in any, and only had to try a second powder in 1. They shoot as good or better than the best "other" bullet i have tried in all the rifles I have shot them in. All with very few development loads. You can use Nosler starting load data for the 140 grain and work up.I'm using the same powder. I may just order a sample pack and try it. How much jump do you have on the 280ai load?
Factory. Shots so well, theres no reason to reload for it.Factory or reloads? Powder?
I am trying to stay at mag length but my mag length is .085 short..030" in a custom proof and .010" in a T/C Encore (both 280AI's). My Montana shoots the factory 140's and 160's about .75" but I am trying to get to .5" on my reloads with better consistency.Factory. Shots so well, theres no reason to reload for it.

I don't think you will have any trouble getting them to shoot, but the best thing to do is contact Hammer @ 406-261-0010 [email protected] . The first time I called a few years ago Steve the owner answered the phone and talked to me for 30 min. Really a good guy to deal with. Now I just email him with questions.I am trying to stay at mag length but my mag length is .085 short.
That's what my Tikka is eating these days. They shoot nice from that rifle.140TTSX
