Well you didn’t call anyone a feminine cleansing product when you didn’t get the replies you wanted. Kudos.
At least pick a state on your own.
At least pick a state on your own.
Hook line and siiiiinkerI’m actually impressed with the level of restraint shown from the WKR thus far…. You guys are getting soft!
Hey kid, I know you didn’t know. I’ve explained this to countless others before. What you just did was the equivalent of walking into a nice fancy cocktail party, grabbing the microphone, and asking all the women what color their underwear they had on.
There are elk in every single OTC unit. That’s why they are OTC. Just pick one and go. I promise that “picking the right spot” will not be what makes the difference in having a successful hunt or not. I know it seems like that way now, but it will make more sense on the other side. Just decide on a unit and go. Bike your asses off. You’ll Find 2 dozen drainages that don’t have elk but sooner or later youll stumble into some if you hunt hard enough. Then next year when someone posts the same question you did you can decide for yourself if you want to tell them (on an open forum) which drainage to hunt or not…

Give colorado a shot.Ok so my dad and I with some of our friends are planning a OTC drop camp hunt for the 2023 season and I’m looking for good places to go that some of y’all have been to or recommend. I’ve been told about some places on other sites and some people told me some places to stay clear of. Just trying to get some info some folks that may spend more time doing the same thing. I greatly appreciate you all in advance.
Now there is some seriously sound advice. 3forks, you are much to kind. Also, not sure what other forums you’ve been on, but PM a guy named BuzzH if you run across him… He’s not on here anymore, but I‘m sure he‘d point you in the right direction,
Y’all can roast me all you want. Just asking for some help. Not asking for coordinate locations to your camp. Didn’t know that would be such a big deal to some people. I guess some of us fellow hunters are more so like the government, say we are here to help others out but really just out to make them think we are and only here for ourselves.
Pretty ironic that you pretend to be a tough guy calling people derogatory names based on their political affiliations while LITERALLY asking for a handout. You’re like a welfare abuser of the hunting system. Go piss in someone else’s Cheerios kid.Thank you all for the help. Y’all must be Biden supporters. I guess the part that I said I’m not looking for your spots or anything was hard to understand. If it helps I can put it on paper in crayon so you may can understand that easier. I guess those who are acting like kids about it must have never asked for advice from anyone who has done an out of state hunt or even been on a hunt in a place they don’t hunt.
Yeah be like this guy and buy a "scouting package"... Why put in any work when u can buy and be spoon-fed information through teh interwebs?T bar M Durango ,CO you'll enjoy your hunt.
Are you a biologist for ADFG?As was mentioned by someone else, best advice for you would be to discover which states offer OTC elk hunts and then contact the game departments that are there, and then start contacting outfitters based on the information you received from the game departments. That's your absolute best course of action, bar none.
Your wisdom and foresight is that beyond a “member”.You are going to get roasted.
Ok guys .... I was asking for a good drop camp area or outfitter for my dad and I to hunt ....
The issue isn’t that you asked a question as a newbie. People told you right away that it was going to go south. The issue is your follow up responses. You don’t join a forum with thousands of members who have been here for YEARS and then start calling them names when you were told your question wouldn’t go well.Ok guys I don’t know what part of what I asked you assumed that I was wanting coordinate locations of spots. I was asking for a good drop camp area or outfitter for my dad and I to hunt. My dad isn’t a young spring chicken anymore and this is something he has always wanted to do. So now that I can go with him because my work is a lot easier for me to take off as long as I want and when I want I figure now is the possible only chance to take dad out there. @BDRam16 I get where you’re coming from but also like I said, I’m not asking to join your camp or location. I see how some of us get frustrated when people ask the questions I did but also this hunt is more so for my dad, not me. I’m trying to soak up every opportunity to hunt or fish with him while I still have him here to share the memories with and if that’s hard to understand then I’m sorry.
