Where to find nuts & bolts these days?!

Ace is hit or miss.
Ace by house is great! OG one in small town, it was there before HD/Lowes.
Ace by my cabin in the mtns is horrible..if you want bird seed, grill, patio funiture sure anything else you have to go to the next town.

Local Ace Hardware and West Marine are good — can be hit or miss depending on town. McMaster has everything though.

When I have to cut a bolt shorter, I just spin the end of it on my disc sander at about a 30 degree angle to put a bevel on it. If you have time to wait McMaster Carr has freakin everything.

Kimball Midwest, Lawson, Copper state. I keep a account with Kimball, they keep my bins full. If you don't use that much just do a will call. Lawson has the best bolts for sure. You can also do the cheap Amazon stuff if just every now and again.

I stopped going to Lowe’s or Home Depot for nuts, bolts and fasteners as the people there are not helpful in that department. I now only go to ADE. Last few times I’ve gone to ACE I’ve had three people in 5 minutes if I needed any help. I could wait 60 mins in HD or Lowe’s and not be asked once.

If you have a Cal Ranch nearby, I would try there. I don't know if it's just my local store, but they have by far the best selection of nuts and bolts of any other store around me. They do a lot of nuts and bolts by the pound and I'm always surprised how cheap it ends up being.

Not sure if they make kits for PWC but this company has tons of quality metric stuff available.

McMaster-Carr
One of their big distribution centers is a few hours up the interstate near Chicago. I can order 1 bolt late in the afternoon and it arrives the next morning.
And they have virtually everything.

Fastenal went to shit a while back. I dont even like to look at their building when I drive by it.

R&S bought out our other bolt store. Still a damn handy place. Buy a lot of hardware from the farm stores as well.

With the dirtbikes they sell a bolt kit for them.
