That's actually my buddies canoe. I was shuttling that day.

I saw a guy on the river this summer with a Mad River, looked really nice. I've been beating up an old Coleman for a few years, and would like to upgrade. I'd love a Wenonah........maybe someday.....

I've used a pile of canoes over the year, from a beaten up old Grumman to a beautiful kevlar Wenonah. I tell you what, them Wenonah's are pretty sweet.

This is George. He is a massive pain in my ass and I love him dearly. The Quigley conversion gets me most everywhere I want to go, the bed, battery, and diesel heater make him five star accommodation in the woods. Starlink makes him a mobile office which is amazing.

With that said the radiator head just cracked and I don’t like limping him out of the wilderness with JB weld keeping him from overheating.

However, I got this van for a great price and I don’t care if it gets scratched or muddy or bloody.

The wife and dog love George too, because he gets us out into the woods. So for now, we keep him around.

While the newer sprinter and fransit vans seem good for what they are, I really love these old econoline vans when they have a lift and bigger tires. They just look more capable and adventure-ready.

I have a 2017 Tundra as mine and also my daily driver. I’m currently looking at an 05 4Runner with the V8 as well as an off-road vehicle that might do some if I pick it up.

Wish I could have kept my first hunting buggy, a 95 4runner. But alas, the 3.slo V6 suffered from the infamous head gasket fail.



I've since "upgraded" to 2.5 Gen Tundra. It rides great and is fairly "bulletproof" with the 5.7 V8, but dang if I don't miss the old 95 beater for hunting!

(True story, I originally acquired the 95 4runner by trading a Nightforce NXS 3-15x50 straight up to a shooting buddy back in the day. The scope is still "ticking" though, so maybe he got the last laugh...)

One or the other, depending on the trip. Could also be jet boat, bike, or just my Kenetreks. Have to say, the Tug is by far my comfiest hunting camp.

2002 24v Cummins dodge. RTT, decked system, Diesel heater can heat either the cab or the Tent.

‘82 Nordic Tug 26. Burns 1.3 GPH. Slow but comfy. New deer camp (among other roles), added this year.

Used 4wd the other day and my new shifters hit the console. So it'll just barely click into 4x4. But a bump or a blip of the throttle will kick it out. Also they really got in the way of where a rifle rides

These damn things are never done...


Its a lil gritty, kinda like I didnt shave enough off the shift rails. But I'm done tinkering on this thing for now

The 3.4 swap isn’t that hard on those and they work much better.
