Whats your go-to state?

Being a resident in Iowa is awesome for whitetail hunting. Statewide archery tag, and statewide gun or muzzleloader tag guaranteed every year. I also get several antler-less only tags to fill the freezer. The only drawback is access to land, but I imagine that is the case in every good whitetail state.

Fell in love with the state back in the mid 90s.
Being a NR, it sucks for the bank account though...

everything west of these states the public areas have been over hunted.
Ya don't see the TV hunters hunting public land...

My only experience outside of Michigan in eastern OH which was a great area, but there’s something about being able to walk out the back foot and getting into the tree. We’re getting into bigger bucks the last 5yrs due to improved practices so I’ll vote MI even though I’ll probably change my vote to Iowa after 2022. :)
