What’s your ATV or UTV?

IMG_4549.jpeg My 2001 Honda rancher 350. Added a selectable 4wd front differential from a newer model to get rid of full time 4wd. Would like to upgrade to a Yamaha Rmax at some point to replace this. But I also enjoy the ability to load it in the truck bed and not have to tow a trailer. Front bag has a pair of cow elk fronts and one rear leg quarters loaded in it in this pic.

2018 Grizz 700 tracks never come off. A fun unit for winter and spring🤙 Gas guzzler with tracks, but enable you to pack gear and one person if wanted. The prior 400 grizz worked well but was under powered for tracks and lacked power steering of the newer unit. Neither unit has had any issues so far over 15 plus years.

My man! Nice color combo. Mine is a 700 Kodiak. Gets tires for warm season whitetail property habitat work though (access, spraying, broadcasting). What setup do you have for storage/fuel on the back rack there?

@wind gypsy the red cans came with a bracket. Drilled through the storage holder to secure the cans. They the slide on to exposed bolt with a spinner to secure. Works pretty slick.

Your mileage may vary, but these get me everywhere I need to go.

2003 Polaris Ranger 6x6. Bought used in 2007. Been a work horse at my deer camp. Firewood, food plots, and has hauled many deer to the barn. Regular maintenance and a few minor repairs. Price of new ones will keep me using this one for the foreseeable future.

Well mine doesn't quite fit the bill for hunting but has come thru in a pinch on more than a few occasions. Only run it on private land I have access to. Pretty sure if I used it during hunting on public land would get me some ill undoing's.

Got a few around the house. A late ‘90’s Fourtrax 4x4, early 20’s Honda something or other 4x4, the 2003 Honda Rubicon I inherited when dad passed, has 15k km’s on it now.
2012 Outlander 1000 XT I bought because it was the biggest gnarliest machine available at the time and where I hunted elk then had 10km of waist deep clay and muskeg mudholes and the Kodiak 450 couldn’t cut it that I was running then. Sold the Kodiak.
Got a ‘23 Commander XMR as it was the closest thing to perfect off the factory floor for the muskeg that I hunt moose in. It’s pretty capable and have yet to get it stuck. Come pretty close a couple times on moose double headers where it has a pair of bulls loaded in it though.
Family size increase this summer meant I needed more seat options for Chicken Tours, so picked up a ‘25 Honda Pioneer 1000-5, as it is the only thing out there that had 5 seatbelts, and a bench seat, and a real box on it for yard work. Might have to change it up a bit to make it less tippy and more capable though with some suspension work.

Outlander rolling on 28” Silverbacks. Stupidly aggressive tire that would push snow deeper than the rack if you kept it pinned. Machine had a tendency to hook up hard though, and would tear off the 2” deep tread bars from the tire carcass.

That XMR is a monster of a machine, but snug on space. Big bull loaded up, but it’s pretty awkward when you are solo due to the height. The tailgate is halfway between my belly button and armpit when it is open, and that rack is about shoulder level. Tough to get 100lbs of moose head up there as the last lift after breaking down a moose on your own. The loaded pic was just after I was snugging down straps and managed to discharge the fire extinguisher right into my mouth and eyes. At -25*C. And all my water frozen. Good times.

Pair of immature bulls loaded up, powersaw, back packs, rifles, 2 full size adults. Was a solid load. Had to winch up out of one of the creek crossings to avoid tipping over backwards.

1 7/8 mature bull moose on another double header. Didn’t have one head and some back straps and rib meat loaded on my machine. Had to get a bit more creative with loading due to size of the quarters. 4 quarters, head, loose meat, backstraps loaded in the box along with the powersaw, pack, and shovel. Passenger seat had some rib meat and a bag of backies, along with two himds and a front. Front quarter tied to the hood.

Still had to winch through 2 creek crossings to avoid tipping over backwards.

Ya, I've posted it on CGN a long time ago. The walking g beam is awesome and with the winch on top you can drag it right in the trailer and drive away back to camp!
