i haven't seen anything "game changing" in bows the last several years... the ease of tuning is cool, but to me, it's not a big deal to twist yokes or shim a bow... especially shimming, once it's done, it doesn't need messed with, so external tuning options like elite and bowtech are kinda "meh" to me, very low on my list while shopping for a bow.... i still think APA has a lot of cool stuff going for them in that regard, and are relatively light and fast, but i have never shot one, so i keep talking myself out of taking that leap... curiosity will get the best of me one of these days.

my Mach 1 has been the most user friendly hunting bow i have owned, but it's far from game changing, it's just nice that there is a bow on the market almost custom made for my needs... light, aims better than it should being light, well balanced, and crazy good draw cycle and plenty quick, as well as the evolve cam being so versatile and easy to adjust by the user..... PSE carbons are pretty ugly, but looks of a bow are at the very bottom of my list, and some think they look good, so there's that.

i don't anticipate anything game changing on the horizon either, they are all pretty quiet and fast, most have good enough draw cycles, most are easy enough to get good bareshaft flight with relative ease, and i suspect we will see more of the same in the future.... little incremental changes (not necessarily improvements)

i have seen nothing in the last 10 years that could possibly increase my success in the woods with bows, just like always, they are a means of launching an arrow, and not much has changed in that regard in the last 10 years.... the fanboys are getting more sensitive and hostile, but that's about the only real change i have seen in the past 10 years

No a whole lot has changed in the last ten years. Marketing and confirmation bias still rule the archery world.

I'd say for changes/advancements: Flex guard roller ( was this more than 10 years ago), SET, and Deadlock cams.
OD binary cams are also really nice to work with, the bridge lock and switch weight tech I think also is worth mentioning along with those 3 you mentioned

I would say PSE carbon bows are the biggest change in the last ten years. The riser length to weight ratio is pretty significant, you looking at an incredibly light bow for the length of the riser.

Otherwise from a performance standpoint of all the rest….your paying for smoke and mirrors and bull shit marketing. There is hardly any upside for the money spent on new bows.

I felt that the Switchweight mods in the Vertix were somewhat revolutionary. Being able to adjust draw weight, length and let off with just a mod swap.

I also think the Bowtech adjustable cam axles are a great idea. No more shimming to get perfect cam alignment.

Now you have the SAS system from Mathews. Gives you the ability to tune or replace strings without the use of a press. Bow shops have to hate that idea.

Seems like we are close to or have hit our limits for speed so companies are turning their focus to weight, balance and simplifying tuning. A good direction to go in my opinion.

I have a PSE Full Throttle, needs to be re-stringed but good lord.. amazingly fast and accurate bow. The arrow came off the string so fast it was just an inherently accurate bow.

My current Hoyt RX4 Turbo is advertised as an 'aggressive' bow but let me tell you, it's so smooth compared to the full throttle.

The PSE Full Throttle was like some crazy experiment in a lab to make the fastest bow in existence :).

I don’t find the elite or bowtech systems to be impressive, but it is neat even though I won’t use it. Also not sure I could consider any particular piece of archery tech that’s come along the way a game changer. People still have enough problems with all our fancy options.
