What's everyone buying their wives for Christmas?

Christmas!? Is it that time of year already? Can't we move this away from deer season? I'm still cleaning rifles, sharpening broad heads, and straightening out my disheveled hunting pack. I guess it will be another chia pet or "The Clapper".

You're not alone, brother. This is the universal husband/father December dilemma. The "don't get me anything" is indeed a trap, but it's a trap set by someone who's selfless, not malicious. The key is to translate "nothing" into "thoughtful effort that shows I see you and appreciate the work you do."

In truth, I try to figure out something nice to get my wife for Christmas every year. In reality, she has no interests or hobbies so it is a little difficult. Also, I never really tell her no about anything she wants to buy during the year. And I'm the same. If I need or want something I just buy it. We don't have a big Christmas celebration anyway so it really isn't a big deal.

I am getting my wife an upgraded/larger kitchen mixer and a large, weighted infrared heating pad.
Your wife and mine sound similar maybe they can be friends and we go hunting more. Got mine a stand mixer to upgrade from tilt head(more hp), some kinda bowl to bake bread in, mug warmer, bono harness. I married a hermit who goes off the property rarely to hunt and fish.

A window in our dining room. Frankly, a piece of jewelry would have been much easier on my back and shoulders.

The window opened a can of worms in this old house, The wall needed to be sheeted, reinforced and Sheared to do it right. Then I really needed to add a blanket of poly iso foam board. Not the easiest job for one guy. I like my Electric framing nailer but dang, 2,000 nails with that 10# gun that only holds one strip is a workout.

You can get an extended magazine that holds 2 strips.

The DeWalt nailer is 2 pounds lighter and it really shows in use compared to the Milwaukee, but the fly wheel on the Dewalt is louder (still much better than a pneumatic) and has to spin up. Having used both, you should get your wife a DeWalt framing nailer for Christmas.

She’s been wanting a laptop for a few years, so it’s a new MacBook this year.

Last year was a new Land Cruiser. The MacBook was a lot easier on the wallet haha.

Bought my Wife a new dyson vacuum one year. I highly recommend it.

She got a brand new truck and iphone this year, so it all evens out.
I too bought my wife a new Dyson vacuum for this Christmas - but in my defense she wanted one. We have had one for 18 years and it finally went out about a month ago. Plus Amazon had a sale that made it go from $649 down to $399. Cant beat that.
