What WONT you buy in the classifieds?

What wouldn’t you buy? A used rifle (nobody ever sells a sub moa gun)? A call? Mouth diagphragm? Bugle tube?

For me I don’t think I could buy a used sleeping bag. Between sweaty, naked men, and not showering for days on end, it makes my stomach turn to think about getting in someone else’s bag!!!

And mouth calls, that’s just gross!!!

Rain gear, electronics, anything that touches the skin (unless its new with tags attached), vortex products. Other items it depends on how good of deal it is. Used boots for $100 off, with "50 miles on them" no thanks. Used optics for demo/sale prices, you can't return if scratches/won't hold zero/track, probably not.

For me it would be base layers and shoes. You can wash and wash and wash, but still never get someone’s “scent” out of the item.

When I worked for a large outdoor retailer we would often take returns on items like sleeping bags. They typically couldn't be resold; you wouldn't believe the amount of times we found used condoms/women's underwear in the bottoms of them.

On another note, we had a portable toilet returned too. Not an item we would typically allow to be returned, but a new hire pushed it through anyway. Low and behold the previous owner had left a log in the bottom of it for our staff to find.

Good stuff, retail is fun.

Never even bought used vehicle from anyone other than family and I did that with some reservations. Hats, hair and lice, socks toe jam and nails, underwear, let's not got there. vehicle, check out back seat with UV light.

I picked up some items for @Ucsdryder the other day, and I think this is his round about way of trying to find out how he can repay me when he picks the items up. So, I just wanted to get it out there that massages are not acceptable...so he understands in a round about way.

Do you have a portable blacklight to take into stores? I can't imagine the horror you would see in a grocery store.
