@Billy Goat here’s a turkey for you…
That's not a turkey. What you've drawn there is the long time extinct saguaro dinosaur.

I'll roast up a turkey a couple times a year. I like the dark meat fresh out of the oven, and the breasts for sandwich meat. But this year Thanksgiving is just my wife and I, and I'm cooking up Japanese Wagyu ribeyes.

Proof I hunt. How else would I have got this buck?

Okay, blacked out face, could be anyone. Truck tire in the bottom corner of the picture, who says you didn't hit it with the truck just to take a picture with a dead deer???
Or it was a road kill deer near the road and you just pulled into the field and took a quick picture???

This raise more questions than answers...

For those who don’t like turkey let me introduce you to a brined and smoked turkey, you will change your tune, but yes obviously primerib is better we live in peak domesticated meat age

You are wasting your breath.

You can't explain to someone that BBQ joints serve brisket AND turkey. Not OR turkey.

Life doesnt have to be either or. It can be both.

And yes. I cook turkey through out the year. I love buying birds for $1 a pound or less after Thankgiving.

A few 29 cent per pound birds tomorrow, around crock pot size, will find their way to my freezer.

I voted ahi as that is easier to find in a stor than good salmon.

Of course, I bought my two turkeys (one for gumbo and one to bake), so no judgement on the store thing.

I'm going to be the nail that sticks up and say I actually like turkey. It is better than chicken, but not as good as duck.

Turkey is inconveniently large to cook all the time and good gumbo is too much work as I'm lazy. We typically pick up a couple on sale after the holidays though.
