What’s wrong with Talley’s. It’s all I’ve used on my Tikka hunting rifles and have never had an issue.

Same. I've also used Back Country rings on other rifles without any issues.

Kind of in the same boat as you. I'm upgrading the wife's hunting rifle and have a SHV on the way.

I just back ordered some UM low rings to try.

Surprisingly, the dnz mount currently on the rifle has held up better than I expected over the last few years

been very happy with UM lows on t3x light and a vx5 44mm. The bell sits “into” the contour of the barrel with good clearance. Without a cheek riser the lows get my eye just right on the stock chassis. Also impressed with the hardware as it doesn’t get rust spots..
