What Tikka T3x mounts

I think I can get a set of unknown munitions medium tikka rings. But how much higher would they be with my 42mm scope. Went with the talley rail and night force rings, but they do not work.Unless I cut down the tally diving board, end off. But i'm just wondering if the mediums from unknown munitions is higher than this set up

Medium is 0.15" taller than the UM lows. UM lows put center optic 1.65" above center bore, so the mediums will put it 1.75 above center bore.

An Area419 20 MOA rail and NF lows is 1.69" and NF mediums 1.80" as I measured them.

Seems like the most logical thing to do is to get a different rail that does not extend beyond the action. There are a ton of good options. That and the night force rings you have will be very solid. Just follow the protocol on this forum for getting that set up to retain zero. You will not lose zero and save some cash for ammo…if you decide that you want to shoot that thing after the first few rounds.

Also, aluminum is soft, a hacksaw will have that rail working fine. Only reason to spend more money is looks.

Do you think I will be fine with the talley 20moa rail. I'm wondering since it doesn't have a recoil pin. Well, if it will still be strong enough.I'm holding the rail to the receiver with the four screws. I really like the nightforce rings, and I wanna stick with them. Or should I wait and try to find a SRS rail for he was the 419 rail. I think the s r s will put me a bit lower than my current talley

I like recoil pins, but if you use a strong 2 part epoxy and screws it will likely be fine.

I believe the Mt. Tactical rail also uses a recoil pin.

Maybe you'll be fine. Maybe you won't. Maybe you'll be fine until you miss a BOAL. The best option, as stated above, is to buy good quality rings that mount directly to the dovetail with recoil pins. UM is a great option. If you want to deviate you can, but at your own risk.

This is my actual plan that I want with this rifle. If I do the night force rings and rail, I will be over eight pounds scoped. which is where I want to be. Now I ended up going with a 20 moa rail. Cuz, that's all could find at the moment. I want to cite this rifle in at 2.5 inches high at one hundred yards. The scope does not have a dial and I won't be shooting long range with this gun and won't be shooting at much. Should I try to just find a 0 moa rail.

A few months ago I picked up a Tikka T3x 338 win mag. I topped it with talley ultra light mounts and a Meopta optika 5 2-10x42. The recoil screwed up the scope inside and I had to send it back and they credited me my money. So I didn't have to send it in for warranty. I then just bought a Nightforce SHV 3-10x42. Now that it's a 30mm tube i need to buy new mounts.

What would you all recommend. I live in canada, so it could be difficult to get some of your recommendations
sporstmatch ones will work on your rig.

why? do you think it will impact the resistance on your frame. you will need to find a steel rail with steel rings or are you doing alloy rings and rail?
I want the gun to be heavier overall. I am running night force six screw mounts

ah ah ok got that part now. might need a boyds laminate stock to tame the recoil or a tikka laminate one if you can find one. for the 6 NF screw mounts i will use the tikka rail and bond it like they are doing on the ctr.
