What stresses you out?

Here's what's been doing it for me. Just want to turn my thoughts into words, so...

My twin sister is going through a terribly rocky path in her marriage. I'm her personal counselor right now, it seems.

Trying to keep my mom from losing it, due to the above.

Also trying to help a friend through his divorce.

Just got married a month ago and trying to adapt to living with a female again. It's all good, just getting used to little things that come with it (this one doesn't really stress me, just another big event that has happened recently). Don't get me wrong, I love that woman.

I am way, way, way behind on my usual treestand/food plot prep for whitetail season.

I have way too many projects going on that don't seem to have an end in sight.

Always dealing with my ex wife's BS.

Daughter starting school with all the COVID restrictions (2nd grade).

Work.

I'm too much of a "yes" kind of guy. I never tell anyone no. So I have lots of people asking me for help, all of the time it seems.

Way behind on elk season prep. Need to pack and get the vehicle ready, etc.

On the plus side, I'll be on some mountain in Colorado in 2 weeks.

Shewww, feel better now. Life is good.

What stresses you out?

Choices man.....it’s all about choices and in the end, you are the one making them. If you make choices that negatively impact your life, it’s really not on anyone but you. Cut all that stress out of your life. And before you say “it’s not that simple”....yeah it really is. You just don’t want to believe that it is or take the appropriate actions to remove it all.
This isn’t solely directed at you, but anyone who feels similar.

As for what stresses me.......Chic-fil-et being closed on Sunday and flat billed hats are both somewhat upsetting to me. I guess my life isn’t too bad.

Career change in September/October is a really stupid decision. Doing mental interview prep while packing for a scouting trip is what causes that “I forgot my TP” thread.

This right here. Words of wisdom.

Agree with this. Although it's not my choice that my sister and buddy are going through a rough time. I need to be there for them.

Definitely should cut out a lot of the other crap.

My mom. Needs to be in a long term care facility. Weighing on my conscious.
Very hard decision.
Half hour after typing this the next door neighbors knocks on the door with my mom in tow. Says she's confused, wandering around in her back yard (4 acre lots).
Not only can she not be left alone, you have to watch her while in the house.

Taking unplanned annual leave during August. I've skipped lots of weddings, reunions, and parties due to fire season and wanting to save annual for hunting.

I guess one has to cave in eventually. First time in 8 summers that I've taken a day off.

Getting ready for a Gila hunt and had my bow dialed in when the serving started coming apart. In the bow shop as we speak getting a new string. Stressing how messed up tune and sights will be when I finally get it back. Not the time of year to be getting a new string.

Shooting lights out until a week from the opener. Been shooting only broadheads for a month and shooting well. Had a little mental crisis the last week and was all over the place. Finally got back to good out to 70 yesterday. Just in time!

Lack of time. Working far too much. Trying to shoehorn training and shooting practice into my schedule. I just do my best to adapt and make it work. I shoot a round or two of arrows when we aren’t open right before and after work. I’ve even been wearing one of my training packs at work at times. I get some odd looks and some comments, but you do what you gotta do.

My neighbor gets a kick out of me stalking up on my 3D Elk target and shooting it from different angles in my backyard.

I live in Illinois, so working elevation is another challenge along with the time aspect. I’ve had the cops check out “the guy running up and down the sledding hill wearing a pack in the dark”

I’m a bit of an outlier around here.
