Looking for a solid color spring bear pant to help see ticks. I'll be in west central Idaho 5/15 - 5/25 for a 7 day backpack S&S bear hunt. Just using this trip as a baseline, obviously I'll be using pants for other ventures as I see fit too.
I ordered the 206 which I have now and fit well. Seem pretty similar in weight to my Kuiu Kutanas. I was hoping they'd fall somewhere between my Kutana Stretch and Attacks, but really couldn't find much on them other than advertisements, which accurately depict them as an 'early season' pant.
Do you guys think the De Havilland Lites would be a better all around pant, or would you stick to the 206? I have zip off 160 gsm bottoms and Stone Grumman pants/jacket if it gets cold. I was trying to avoid packing 2 pairs of pants since that's close to another pound. Also don't think I'll need rain pants (Kuiu Chugach) as I'll have gaiters to also help manage ticks and dew. Assuming the pants dry fast if they were to get wet..
