Just got a tikka t3x 270win superlite. Anyone care to share their recipe using barnes LRX 129gr. I have the following to use:
Primers: fed210m, cci200, cci250
Case: hornady, Norma, Winchester
Powders: h4350, superformance, hybrid 100v, h4831sc

Thanks

I load that bullet for several 270's, I use fed. 210 and of the powders you have I'd start with H4831SC, I think my load settled in at 59g.

Not sure If it’s just mine but of all the powders I have, h4831sc Is the slowest in velocities and even with higher amounts of grains used. Accuracy is similar to the others but slower fps.

My highest velocities with lower powder grains come from superformance and hybrid 100v.

I didn’t have much luck with the 129 lrx in my Tikka. The 130 ttsx is a different story. I stuck with the ttsx.

Barnes suggests 100v for that bullet/caliber. I’d start there if you have it. I’ve had good luck with Barnes and H4350 in my 270 too, but not with the LRX.

I have used the LRX, fed. 210, H 4350 with great results. The load data is available on Barnes website.

How much jump? I think recommended starting is .05 off the lands. Anyone with the same rifle and load use a specific jump? Just trying to save some time and money. Thanks
