What pose for this buck

Caught up with this buck right before Christmas, and because of his uniqueness with the mass, extra beam, and cape coloration, I decided to shoulder mount him.

Trying to decide what pose I want to use that will do him justice and show off the extra beam and all.

I like to consider their pose from when I saw &/or shot 'em.

That said, I like the sneak poses.

Im in the same boat. I shot a buck this year and want to favor his right side because its bigger and he had a wound from a bobcat behind his right ear.
Im thinking this semi upright looking left but havent decided yet.

Thinking about a semi upright or semi sneak in a Mears form.

My preference was typically a semi sneak. I'd go with a left turn to show off the right side better but it'll still be visible with a right turn. It really depends where you plan to place it in the room. If near a corner, I like them looking into the room and not into the other wall.

I like a Mears form. They have a nice Roman profile.

I think Coombs had a Semi Sneak Sweep that was cool, but a pain in the butt to locate the hanger so the mount was level, even balanced on the wall.

Matt Thompson 8000 or 8500 left turn. I have a deer done in the 8000. It is a Wall Pedestal but not with the shoulder against the wall/ body turned sideways. It is more of an offset with a slight gap between the wall and the back of the deer's left shoulder.

I have 1 full sneak, and am really not happy with it. I'm also a fan of having them mounted how they were when I shot them, and in this case he had his nose up a does ass. It just doesn't look all that good to me, but does fill an empty spot on the wall across the room from the one below, above the sliding glass door.

If I'd have seen this thread sooner, I would have suggested something like this, turned to the right:

It took me 2 tries to get this mount. I shot another 8 point Oct. 1st or 2nd that year, taxidermist said his neck wasn't big enough for this mount. Then I shot this 8 on Veteran's Day, my favorite day to hunt.
