What part of this land are y’all hunting on?

This is a 270 acre farm I have permission to hunt.
Red is property line
Yellow are harrowed, unplanted food plots

Too general of a question without enough people info, but I find a low impact works well, if you can do that.

What row crops are currently in there? What is the harvest schedule?


Can I shoot ducks on the pond?

Just me. Usually park by the pond and walk the rest of the way.

In all seriousness, id hunt corners. But before that, I'd stay near the road to not make an impact and glass a few mornings and evenings to see where they are coming to and from as far as bedding and plan that way.

Likely late for brassicas except in the south.

Mine were in 25-35 days ago.

If you are hunting with a weapon that has range, I'd leave it for sanctuary, it will pay off.

Don't walk open feeding ground in the am.

I hunted a spot like that in Nebraska a long time ago, I planned which side I sat on based on the wind, had a few places picked out so the the wind blew off the property.

Looks like a road or trail up the middle, that could be good for crossing animals, but higher impact unless wind is perfect. If there’s a pond dam on the back side they tend to like crossing the top of those or behind them for some reason if they are open enough.

It’s hard to tell what the brush is like, if you can see 50-100 yard in or 10, so that makes a diff.

I get the vibe from the pic that a day or so of scouting ain’t gonna run them out of there for good. I’d scout it, hang stands in hot spots and move as the fresh sign goes.
