What level of "comfortable" should I expect?

So I have a MR Pintler on the guide light frame. I've been training with a 50 sand bag wrapped in duct tape and I haven't quite found the level of comfortable I'd expect. I've read/watched all the fitting videos, but still wonder if I'm missing something. I'm 5'11" with a 20+" torso so the large should fit me fine. I've got the yoke shortened as much as it will go which outs the belt in a good spot with no weight but seems to want to shift down with weight. When I put it on in the right sequence I finally start to adjust the load lifters it feels like the shoulder straps are squezzing the crap out of me on both sides. I have to be doing something wrong. BTW, I've done what I can to keep the weight toward the middle but it's probably riding a little lower than ideal.

Any thoughts?

I had the same issue....I had to order a smaller waist belt, bought a large to start with and now have the 31-34 in belt which is much better and really cinches on my hips. My 60lbs was comfortable but was sliding down on me. Good luck, with some tinkering you can get it locked in. I called MR and they were helpful, you can also put some foam behind the lumbar pad to push that out a bit. I also have a longer torso and have mine as short as it will go, I may have to go down in yoke as well.

I just watched another MR video from 2014 and think my yoke might be too short. The "hinge" on the shoulder harness was a little too low. Just lengthened the yoke and it seems to ride better. Still squeezes me a little too much making taking a deep breath a bit harder but I think I'm on the right track now.

Keep tinkering. I went with a smaller belt and have been up to 60 lbs and have yet to find a more comfortable frame than this new Guide Light.......Once I got it ‘dialed in’, it’s been excellent comfort!

I have almost an inch on each side of my belt clip even when I'm cinched to the point where it starts feeling too tight so I think belt size is fine. I'm going to send some pics to MR and check if they see anything that's off.
