Looks like you have a after war 1843 suit down Springfield musket perhaps its smooth bore as most were there were someNot a good photo, but I believe this muzzleloader is from the civil war and has Ohio stamped on the stock. Apparently, the owners initials were S.C.

looks like a after war cut down 1842 Springfield musket smooth bore more than likely there were a few that were rifled the cal.
