I'm a bit different. Pack layout matters greatly to me. I used to always be digging in a main compartment bag, making noise, losing things, etc. So, on the bag - I'm a timberline lover. I don't like a one main bag, clean set up like the highcamp or stone glacier. I get why some guys might it's just not for me. I like the exterior pockets for small items and the large side pockets for spotter and tripod (or stove and jacket when not carrying the tripod/spotter). I know some guys will say you can put pockets on the high camp or SG but I never got that as then it just becomes a Timberline. Anyway I have a T2 and I have no real complaints about it. Got a BT1 (gonna put it on a diet this weekend) this year but have yet to really load it up. Used to have a Duplex frame and thought it was great - got rid of that to shave some weight and at times regretted it. I'm betting the Bikini frame is the love child of the Duplex and the original Timberline and that will make me happy, happy.
Big fan of the XTL lid but trying out a long hunter this year. I think the long hunter may be more functional it just doesn't look as cool.
Camo - T2 multicam, BT1 Highlander. Because they look cool. No functional advantage.
