As the title says..what is your favorite FF method, or who's method do you follow more than anyone else. Fixing to have to go through it.

Thanks. I've seen some of his stuff before but hadn't seen this one.

Ear pinch for the last dog, trying hillman's puppy program this time. So far results are not great, if it doesn't click for him by the end of summer I'll be going back to ear pinch.

Ive only done FF on one dog (my latest pup, last summer) and used the ear pinch. A friend walked me through it, but basically referenced Evan Graham as who to follow. It went better than expected for my first try.

I don't think there a lot of "methods" out there. It's basically all the same method some people just spend a little more time in certain areas. Eventually the dog has to understand how to handle pressure.

I like to spend a good deal of time on "hold" before starting. Seems to speed up the process.

Evan Graham Smartfetch is what I follow.
I use Smart Fetch as well. I think most “systems” are similar. Just be consistent hold pressure instead of just cranking it up. Be fair. Be firm. Be consistent. Be willing to step back if you run into hiccups.

Some dogs require a LOT of pressure. Others very little pressure and lots of rewards.

I get the end result being the end result no matter which way you go, for sure. My last dog was a "tell once and done" and I only had to reinforce hold.
This heathen I have now is the most stubborn and high driven I've ever dealt with, but he's going to be a monster when it's all said and done. Appreciate everyone's input.

Start with ear pinch, move to ear pinch with collar pressure, all on bench. Then move to collar only off bench.
I initially followed Freddy King's retriever trainer program. He does excellent work IMHO. I've trained 7 dogs now using his program and they have all turned out excellent. Just picked up a new 8 week old pup this week. already started his training.
