what is the tikka of muzzle loaders?

I’ve got a CVA Optima 2 and it has been solid. Don’t get the one with the button to break open but the one with the extension on the trigger guard.

My son has the slightly cheaper one with the button and you can tell it is not as good of quality

I just bought a CVA wolf with a Leupold red dot sight on it. My dad has the CVA accura which is a lot more expensive than the wolf and although the stock is noticeably nicer than the wolf, the wolf is still an extremely nice and handy gun. Very light and comfortable stock, and the action and breach is super nice and smooth. It only costs 279$ new. Super good gun. I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the CVA break action models.

With an open sight requirement I think the best thing to do is buy a mediocre muzzleloader, nothing fancy, and put a nice sight on it because your going to be limited by your range wether it’s a $900 gun or $300 gun.
