For sure. That's one of the main reasons I decided to go with hammers initially. Heavy ablr and eld-x have been non existent

ADG has ran 7 saum multiple times over the last two years. Get on some distributors lists

I built a 20” 7 SAUM w/ custom chamber on an XM action length. Run the Nomad TI on it. Perfect, wouldn’t change a thing.

What bullet and velocity with that combo? I e got the same can in jail right now and building a 7 saum for it, but was considering a 22 inch barrel because I fear losing too much velocity for longish shots on elk. I'd like to be capable at 600 yds. Was thinking either the 168 lrx or, if all else fails 175 berger.

The difference in velocity between a 20” and 22” barrel chambered in 7SAUM is going to be 75fps, at most. That being said, some barrels are slower than others overall. My point is that based on your stated max distance of 600 yards, you are probably not going to see a significant difference between the two barrel lengths.

169 hammer hunter at 2950. 195 Berger EOL 2700. I have some 143 and 177 hammer velocity ladders loaded, but haven’t shot them yet.

I built a 6.5 prc with a 20” barrel to hunt suppressed. My suppressor is 7.9” and it’s just a tad longer than my 26” 7mag. It’s nothing to unscrew it if I’m hiking through brush either and need the shorter barrel length.
