What is that doing here?

This weekend I hiked in over 7 miles from the trail head and wouldn't you know it I found a golf ball. This isn't the first time I have found one of these way out in the middle of nowhere.
Seems strange to me.

Just wondering if others have found crazy things out in the back county.
