I'd rather watch repeats of American sportsman with Mariel Hemingway circa 1977 than any of the crap out today.

One of the main draws for me in the outdoors is the beauty and tranquility. I look forward to it even though I Iive in the mountains. The huge increase of video content somewhat takes away from it being special. I'd prefer some things be left alone.

Like the guy who has to be on the jumbotron at a sports event to ask his wife to marry him....it's no longer a special moment between 2 people when one is an attention whore.

How about doing an entire season on giving back to the animals and hunting? Highlight projects that are being done. Highlight organizations that are actually doing work. Highlight states that are in need of help to defeat anti hunting legislation. Highlight animals herds and populations that are struggling.

Actually do some work. I dont know, maybe Wells Lamont will sponsor you for a few pairs of gloves you can wear out. Reach out to Red Wing and get a pair of work boots and make sure they need to be resoled at the end of the year.

I'm going to echo the comments about girls on bikinis. Just how good does your wife look in.....I'm kidding I'm kidding.

Get into the nitty gritty. Don't make content to sell advertising. Make what you think works and who cares of anyone watched.

If any of these people cared about "conservation" and not just themselves, this is exactly what would happen. That sort of content would have the potential to get a lot of people involved in habitat projects.
But nah, they'll walk around with their phone on selfie mode telling everyone about "the grind" and their "rollercoaster" of a hunt

I agree.

I also added the organizations actually doing work to that for a reason. I dont give a shit that you went to some banquet, spent a 150 bucks on tickets and won a hunt/tag. I want to see you actually doing work.

If I am watching content and not hunting myself I want to lean all that I can so I am a better killer when I am hunting.

I don't care about you pouring a cup of coffee, cooking food, driving down the road, crossing a stream, setting up camp, deploying a tripod or any of that.

I would like to see more content of eastern and midwestern whitetail hunting on private land. Bring it back. Make Whitetail Hunting Great Again. Make it the coolest form of hunting out there and maybe folks will stop feeling like they need to go west.

About the second time the camera transitions to their face with "hey guys" I'm looking for something else to watch.
I also think its so deflating when someone kills a big ol' trophy and has to take a grip and grin moment to thank sponsors or pitch a piece of gear. I'm usually so excited to get my hands on an animal in that moment that I forget to take picture. If I was required to turn to a camera and sell something right after that adrenaline high I think I would be done hunting or want to re-evaluate why I was actually up there.
I watched a couple guys one year shoot a raghorn bull across canyon, walk up to it, high five, and change their clothes into brand new hoodies and gear with their logo on it to take pictures. Blew my mind they would pack it all up there for a photo op on a rag horn to show how they "got it done".

Eastman528, I get that it’s antithetical to your purpose but you actively make it harder for all of us to hunt. I wish you would quit. Seriously. Hang it up. We would all be better off with less videos, how to’s, draw instructionals. The animals would be better off too

There’s a guy named Jared Scott that has an outdoor show that airs weekly on my local NBC, he also has a YouTube page. I love his show because he films it himself or has help from one of his family members. A lot of times he’s showing you the landscape while narrating. What I love most about his show though, is he’s an average everyday ordinary dude who is just showing his love for everything outdoors. He’s also not afraid to show you when a fish breaks his line or when he misses a shot on a deer.

He is also not shy about spot burning.

Exactly. OP, think again. I’m sure you’re a nice guy, but the universe doesn’t need your “content”. There ain’t no future in your frontin. Just go hunt and enjoy yourself. You don’t need the WWW.

Discretion or etiquette around location is missing.
Naming a state is too much info.
maybe “eastern” , “mid west”, southwest that still leads to misguided messaging.
I get video and photos for posterity…there is just too much real time info available, all of which remains searchable long after its relevancy changes.
I recall listening to well known hunt podcasts nearly a decade ago , that are still going today.

I’d watch this.
