If I had a tag to hunt any big game I would. There is nothing I wouldn't hunt if I had a tag in my pocket lol. Some things I wouldn't apply for would be: goats, and grizzly's. But if I won a tag or something Id give it a go. The only thing I would never do if even given a free hunt would be a "high fenced hunt" not hunting and won't support CWD plants.

Just doesn't get me fired up like big mature whitetail bucks do I guess. That opinion may change over time, though. I haven't hunted out west yet, but when I do it'll probably be for mule deer or antelope. Heck even a whitetail hunt in Montana or Wyoming would pretty freaking cool.
All I cared about was whitetails for 20 years. No interest in anything else....then all the sudden I became so obsessed with Elk hunting I moved my whole family to Wyoming. True story.

Africa has no interest for me. I dont understand sitting on a water hole and shooting things that don't have any other choice on where to get a drink. Then you can't bring most of it back without paying an arm and leg to get it through customs.

Africa… does nothing for me.

Squirrel.

Does fishing count? I’ll do it socially but otherwise eh.

The ladies. Can’t afford it and have happily filled my once in a lifetime tag.

But like most others, high fence just seems ridiculous. A staged blind looking over a permanent bait stand for any prey type animal, nope. Otherwise I think I’d be interested in nearly everything. At least once.

No interest in western shed hunting. Am fascinated with old Africa hunting literature but would much rather romanticize than risk going over there and being disappointed.

I used to not have a desire to hunt Black Bear until I realized what can be done with the meat and especially the fat. I'd hunt Black Bear for sure, but have no desire to hunt Grizzly Bear. Also, I wouldn't care for some of the big African species like Lion, elephant, giraffe, hippo. But I'd probably do water buffalo, kudu, impala, some of the others.

Any with a lousy guide or outfitter and there are way too many out there anymore. Did an Alaskan Brown Bear hunt a few years ago and called plenty of references on this outfitter. Once I arrived I realized all the references worked for the outfitter. Needless to say that trip sure sucked. Went on a guided Texas predator hunt in 2020 and was provided one meal per day when the guide would take us into town to a restaurant. Guide ordered lots for himself and took a to go bag. The rest of us were screwed. Why can't people just be honest and do the right thing when taking money from others for a sport we all enjoy?

Most hunts don’t interest me.

I’m really only interested by elk and bighorns.

I’ve got 17 points on antelope, 15 on moose, and a few points on deer, bear and goat points. I guess If I draw I’ll use them to kill time before my next elk hunt.

Just out of curiosity, what Hunt doesn’t interest you or wouldn’t you want to do? I don’t know if there’s any hunt I wouldn’t do, but anything high fence doesn’t do anything for me. The thought of hunting Africa also doesn’t do anything for me. I guess it just doesn’t seem like enough work. I feel accomplished when I have to put in time, energy, fuel, effort, knowledge, etc to hunt something. Hunting in Africa doesn’t seem like it would take much. Maybe the videos make it look to easy. I would do it if someone paid for me, but don’t think I could justify it even if I had the money laying around. So what hunt doesn’t interest you and why not?
Grizzly and Brown Bear. I'm ok with hunting black bear but grizzly I see no point. Not eating it and it could definitely turn south quickly.

I noticed a person can pay to shoot a feral hog? I guess that’s the one I’d pass on.

Bear hunting has no appeal to me at all. I would harvest one on opportunity, but not going to pay money to target specifically. I’ve had bear meat and thought it was good…
But I just don’t have it in me to shoot one over bait.
I also hope karma favors me if there is ever an encounter with a grizzle .. I leave them alone and they leave me alone.

I used to want to hunt Africa … too many damn snakes, bugs and diseases that want to kill you…rattlers are bad enough even with the best care… I couldn’t imagine a viper or mamba bite in a country with disease and pestilence
