With the height of the rail on the Def actions, you should be fine with Low at .885

I think knowing what stock/chassis you are using helps too. I think your ring height should be fairly relevant to comb height.

Sporter-style stock. Just thinking about clearance of the barrel. I was thinking lows are gonna be ok.

I used NF lows for both my 56mm NXS and the 50mm NX8, Anti and 20mm rail but recently switched to Vortex 30mm 1.100" med and like the head position better. I filed down the front most boss on the rail.

You know, I’ve heard this. My defiance is at the smith now and I’m a bit concerned.

What is the solution or what optic alternative works?

For me, ditch the AG Composites non adjustable stocks and run Manner's LRH stocks on multiple different Defiance action builds.

It's a big enough issue for me, I will never buy another Defiance. There are numerous other choices, some with 3 lug 60º actions, other's with bolt handle designs that do not interfere and give plenty of clearance.

I've never had the anti bolt handle touch a scope; NF, SWFA, or Leupold. New bolt design in 2022 I believe.

I have one with the 5º and one with the 10º septic and I could not get the scope to clear the handle on either.

Not always the case for everyone, but I struck out 3 times with a Defiance/AG Composites combination.
