I bought a new Princeton Tec headlamp, a pair of Arcteryx knee pads and an OnyxMap chip for Colorado. Next upgrade/addition will likely be a 0 degree sleeping bag. A bivy bag and new pack are on next years list.

Picked up the Olicamp XTS aluminum pot. Nice pot for the coin, boils 16oz in just over 2 minutes compared to 3.5 with my Snow Peak Ti boiler.

I've spent a small fortune over the last few months. I can't remember the prices on a lot of it but most of you have an idea what the stuff runs.

Mountainsmith Mountain Shelter $100
Salomon GTX boots
Trekking Poles
Big Agnes bag and pad
Exo Mountaingear 5500 $600
First Lite Kanabs
First Lite Chama Hoody $109
T.A.G. Bags $60
Platypus Gravity Filter
Elite Synergy and most of the fixins
Ruger American .308 $300 (not for backpack hunting. Just to play with)
Ruger 10/22 $200 (same as above)
Darn Tough socks
Mountain House (about a weeks supply)
AGC bino harness

Shopping for gaiters now and need a couple more pieces of merino and plan on trying some Exoficcio boxers

Gaia GPS software for the iPhone after the Garmin Oregon screen turned up broken. I like it so far. String and cable from Winners Choice which has turned the Mathews Creed into a quieter, more forgiving and better shooting bow. Nothing else which means I like what I have, although I am still looking for the perfect one man tent that is light, takes the wind well, and would withstand modest amounts of snow. Didn't like the BA UL1 and got rid of it.

I upgraded to a used kifaru slick 20* bag a ba copper spur 3 and going to call kifaru and order a new frame duplex t1 bag and a few pockets. ( tried to find a used frame to no avail in the color I'd like) hopefully I can get it before I head to colorado in oct. If not I'll suffer with my Kuiu for another season. It's a nice frame it just won't fit my freakishly long torso.

I must have about enough. Didn't even look at the Labor Day sales ads as I couldn't think of anything to buy after going full tilt for several years straight. After a while, should have about enough.

Did buy a couple guns.... maybe more. Lots of bullets, powder, shot and primers. Between prairie dogs and trapshooting for 2, seem to be burning a lot of ammo. Just spending more time in the loading room.

My list is quite lengthy this year as I got a promotion and finally felt like I could spend a little money on some quality gear rather than the stuff I was just getting by with before. Pretty much everything on my list has been tested throughout the summer to varying degrees as I didn't want to rely on untested gear in the field. No matter how good the reviews are, until I know how it works for me it is unproven.

EXO 3500 w/ 2 hipbelt pouches and mesh pockets
Crispi Hunter Boots
First Lite Chama Hoody
First Lite Llano QZ
First Lite Kanab 2.0 Pants
First Lite Corrugate Guide Pant
First Lite Gaiters
Kryptek Aquillo down puffy
Another pair of Darn Tough Merino Socks
AGC Bino Harness

There are probably a few other small items here and there but that's the bulk of it... Now to save for that Benelli Super Vinci I've been wanting to upgrade to for waterfowl hunting. After that I'll probably be looking at upgrading my optics and tripod but that will be for next year, what I have now, although several years old, still works reasonably well for me. I may also look at some quality rain gear at some point but most of the areas I hunt don't get too much rain so the poncho I have works most of the time anyway. It's a never ending game but it's been fun to stock up and test out some quality gear this year. It's crazy how the money adds up but it definitely adds to my comfort in the mountains and I've dropped nearly 10 lbs. on my pack weight by upgrading to better gear...

I bought a couple new shirts, a pair of First Lite pants, and a rifle this year.

It seems like there is always something I "need"

Minox 50md spotter, Sitka puffy, and a bow tech carbon knight were my big purchases this year. Can't be happier with them.
