What happens when liberals take over your state.

You are a clueless woke liberal. Do you have any idea what your woke liberal democratic buddies have done to Colorado ?? You belong on the Green Peace forum not the hunting sportsman community forum of RS
How is that in any way a relevant response to what I wrote? lol, it’s like you’re using a prewritten script.

Dude, don’t act like deflection and straw men arguments are monopolized by the left just look at this thread. Antifa, blue hairs, woke, lol that’s deflection that’s making the argument something else entirely composed of buzzwords without substance. Same with racist, sexist, etc…

It’s also hypocritical to hunt and fish and have a screw the environment mentality. It’s dumb and disingenuous.
Dude - it’s your woke liberal Democratic Party that wants to eliminate hunting and the 2nd amendment, forget screw the environment mentality ! It won’t matter. Colorado is your poster child, and the anti hunting, anti gun governor couple just eliminated trapping and the fur trade in Colorado are your heroes

I utterly despise and hate 90%+ of what democrats do and about 60% of what republicans do.

I have tried many times over the years to get involved in right-wing politics and I have met some genuinely solid people through that, but have yet to leave a GOP meeting not feeling like I need to run home and take a shower. In short I hate the left for what they are and I hate the right for what they aren't.

Call me a leave-me-alone-atarian.

In what way is what is happening in this country right now and over the last 6 months more of “what America stands for”?

In what way is paying for pardons, presidential access, and using the DOJ as personal lawyers American? In what way is lowering the burden to detain and enter Americans homes by force more American? In what way is divesting in public institutions American? In what way is increasing surveillance of Americans, American? In what way is stopping funding for us being the leaders on medical and energy innovation, American? In what way is divesting from taking care of our publicly shared resources, American?

People can have concerns about what is happening not out of a hate for this country, but out of a deep sense of patriotism for what we could and should be.

I’d like to see the forest service and blm well funded and effective. I’d like to see massive seed banks at the ready to address habitat loss post fire, I’d like to see us invest in research to prevent and eliminate disease in wild sheep, I’d like to see clean water and healthy habitats. I’d like to see more investment to enforce game and public land use laws. I’d like to see us be at the forefront of energy and materials research to reduce our impact (Listen to Direct Current podcast for a different flavor of patriotic pride). None of this is out of hate for the country but pride. The monopoly on patriotism is a myth.

Do a quick google search of Flock and its various usages of camera tech and you will quickly see why it should bother EVERYONE. Regardless of your hair color. I am a generally conversative guy politically, but I also like things like the 4th Amendment.
As for liberal women... I married a self-described hippy chick a decade ago and I think I got the last attractive one before the switch from "liberal" in the classic sense got overshadowed by the "liberal progressive" cult of blue haired, overweight warthogs who have more testosterone than the average college male today. To be fair both of us were in our 40's when we got married so it might just be an age thing.
The hot hippie chicks were more libertarian than liberal nuts, imo.

About all I have to say is one more vote from Oregon to not be in Oregon any longer then I have to be. Some of the takes here are pretty tough to even read. This should be a community that is pretty well all together on anything that restricts our rights as outdoorsmen. Some of us our fine giving up this ammunition choice because it doesn’t directly affect you? The republicans sell all the public land? Yes I’m exaggerating but jeez if any of us want to have any outdoor legal activities we got to get to some common ground. I don’t care what color you vote, make some sense. Here in Oregon they are attempting to outlaw farming, hunting, fishing, and I think about everything besides tick tock. The crap is real. It isn’t a pick what rights you give up. As soon as we start giving some up they will want more.

I never actually see any negative affects from democrats introducing gun regulations, but the accusations always seem doom and gloom slope arguments from grifters in the 2A lobbies. The erosion of environmental protection in red states is very real.
There are millions of gun owners and hunters in California and Oregon who would disagree with you.

You can’t be serious with that statement. Ever heard of Colorado? SB 25-003 forced a permitting scheme on Colorado Parks and Wildlife (because sheriffs refused to participate) on many of the commonly owned semi-automatic firearms. Now it’s drawing tons of resources away from the agencies’ real job- managing wildlife- forcing them to run permitting and firearm instruction on semi-automatic firearms. Nothing related to hunting, fishing, or wildlife. Wanna talk about grifters? This was all done to appease out of state billionaire Bloomberg and his Everytown and Giffords pals. They have turned gun control into billion dollar activist industry. They own every single Dem in the General Assembly. In a few years every locally owned gun store in Colorado will be gone. You can’t own what you can’t buy.

Your statement might be true in Montana but it sure isn’t down here in bright blue Colorado. And it’s only getting worse by the day. Heck in Montana even the Dems are pro-gun. It’s a completely different reality down here.

Democrats mess with guns and what species you can hunt and republicans mess with public lands, the environment, divest in habitat and wildlife projects, and sell your spot to the highest donor…. It’s a pick your poison thing at this point.
Ever heard of IP28 in Oregon? A bit more than just “what species you can hunt”. I wonder why they chose Oregon? The “both sides-ism” is very tiring.

AND....
Colorado imposes a 6.5% excise tax on the sale of firearms and ammunition, which is expected to generate approximately $39 million annually. This tax applies to most firearm dealers and manufacturers, taking effect on April 1, 2025, and the revenue will fund various social services, including mental health programs and crime victim services.
