It’s all a hell of a lot more complicated and nuanced than people can handle so they resort to buzz words.
Reality is if you’re looking for increased funding for game management agencies, habitat, restoration, access, pollution control, and investment in public land and infrastructure the yes vote is more likely to be blue. To want those things doesn’t require being a leftist. Or “woke” whatever that term has come to mean. For a hunter and fisherman a heck of a lot of that platform makes sense. To some not championing those things is hypocritical. We kill these animals the least we can do is advocate for them and where they live sometimes.
At the same time, if there is a hound hunting, baiting, gun, or predator hunting restriction the yes vote is also generally blue. My calls and battles with my democratic representative are isolated to two main issues. 2A and non science based game management. I’ve had more success making inroads on those than many would expect. You have to be the man in the arena regardless of the jackass or dumbo in office.
