That attitude is precisely what politicians on both sides hope you will have, preventing any meaningful dialog at all and distracting you while they do whatever they like with the rest of your rights.

I bet you personally know more than one 2FA-loving liberal gun owner. But I bet you also don't know their name. There's a whole Reddit subgroup of that exact name filled with folks who are absolutely fuming over what various state/fed government actions are doing to erode our rights. You have more in common with them than you do with ANY "Republican" politician you've ever seen on TV, but you'll never know it because divided is how they like us, and you play right along.

My decision on which poison to swallow comes down to permanence and reversibility. Once sold to private parties public lands will be nearly impossible to get back, once contaminated with pcb’s, mercury, other heavy metals, those waterways and fisheries will never provide healthy sustenance again, once extinct my kids will never know the joy of seeing that species again, once denuded of native species my kids will never see the beauty of their homeland as it was, etc…

I can bury guns, lobby, vote for restored rights, etc… I can’t remove millions of tons of pollution from the river my grandfather and I formed an eternal bond on. So I act accordingly while fiercely advocating for my self interest at every opportunity with any politician of any party.

I’m unfortunately a resident of the new Communist Utopia of Virginia.

A few months ago a delivery driver, in his early 20’s, with a rap sheet longer than my arm, including multiple convicted felon of possession of a firearm spent 10 minutes in my unlit garage after dark with no package to deliver. He proceeded to my neighbors garage and burglarized his office attached to his garage. Cops caught him and charged him with two felonies for conspiracy to commit burglary and one petit larceny. Fast forward a few months, the commonwealth attorney decided to plead out him out on a misdemeanor and time served. After hearing how upset my neighbor was with the outcome, they didn’t even call me. Just sent a text to not come to court.

While all this was going I asked a deputy how this guy was even on the streets with the mandatory minimum’s associated with his charged relative to his age. Cop said “All we can do is keep locking up criminals so the courts can let them out.”

I feel so much safer now that state has decided to limit law abiding citizens rights.

You made me think and I got a couple friends that used to be democrats but they as a party have went off the deep end. Then seeing the crazy in Minnesota really turned them. I don’t think either party is any good but the blue haired lbgqtahfiwh gender fluid antifa group hate America they put it out there every day. Just look at any hunting post they hope the people die or you should be murdered for hunting. Those people are crazy there is no compromise with them.
