What ground blind do you like and why?

Never hunted out of a blind, but looking to buy a two person blind for archery antelope and possibly archery elk this fall. I’ve found a few travel corridors I’d like to try sitting with my daughter or hunting buddy or by myself.

I think I would prioritize ease of use, durability and weight (I’ll be carrying it in a little ways). If I should be prioritizing something else let me know. Thanks in advance.

I have an Ameristep. It is fine, but set up and practice your shot. I am tall and have a 34 inch bow. I have issues with clearance inside the blind and have to shoot kneeling.

FWIW I do a lot of mobile ambush hunting in the north east. I use 2x $15 Walmart camo nets strung on 550 cord with zip ties. It sets up fast and is usually good enough for me to get off a shot at bad breath distances if I stay quiet.

My experience with blinds is to make sure you get one bigger than you think you'll need. There's always 'stuff' that needs to be stowed and another person can take up a lot of room as well.

I was looking at the ameristep wide bottom brickhouse, it seems roomy and light, but not sure of durability. I’m sure I’ll have to kneel no matter what, so setting it up and practicing is solid advice, thanks.

I’ve used natural blinds to ambush, but this area I’m getting into is shallow ravened foothills vegetated with sparsely placed junipers. Hoping a blind will mask a little scent more than the junipers did last year.

That’s something I’ve had a hard time with. Are blinds like tents where a 2 person tent is really a single person tent? Barronett lists how many people their blinds fit, but is this accurate? What dimensions or square footage is comfortable for 2 regular sized people?

I really like my rhino blinds with the 300 denier fabric and I've had good luck with Ameristep and others. I'm not a fan of the see through blinds if you are in wind or cold weather.

I like to use them for archery and muzzleloader antelope and whitetails. very comfortable and out of the wind. August hunts in them are HOT!!! My double bull is in spring green camp and works pretty good. My smaller one is in Fall brown Predator camp and works much better for antelope in the sagebrush. Here's some pics set up on hunts.

Double bulls have always held up for me the best. Ive had them hold together in some pretty strong winds in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming. They are expensive though, and I like the original ones a lot more over the newer surround view fabric. Have a Xenek blind that I really liked to until the poles started poking through the corner pockets that hold them in place

which model is that? thanks

Double bull blinds are definitely the best blinds if you can deal with the weight.

Ameristep and all the cheap blinds are disposable trash. They easily break poles the first time you go to set them up in the dark. I’ll never buy another cheap blind, they are wasteful and frustrating.

Older T-5 original in the Fall Brown camo. It has the non-opening mesh front window with the small portals all around. The Shack Attack with full opening is much easier to shoot a bow out of!!

Here is my older Double bull matrix 360, I've had it for a few years now, and while it's heavy, I love it, except sitting over antelope water holes in August, and It's hot out.

What model is your fall brown predator blind? I have found the old T2 work best for antelope as they will get used to it much quicker than the double wide models
