Hey gents,

Quick question, I'm looking to change the fiber colors in my tek hybrid, I'm having a tough time seeing the red pins in low lighting, I'm not sure what colors to go with though, any suggestions for colors that I can use that will gather the most amount of light? Keep in mind that I can't use the light on the sight due to restrictions in CO.

Also, how hard is it to change out the fibers myself? It's a 2014 model Tek Hybrid, for reference.

I use green for all my pins and then just paint the pin body so I can differentiate between the pins.

For what it is worth, I am too new to the archery game to offer specific advise but i will say that I have used fiber on both shotguns (field and sporting clays) and defensive type pistols (IDPA, USPSA matches, etc.). I got away from green because it tended to wash out on the grass-covered berms at my pistol range and at a wooded sporting clays course anytime the trees have leaves. I get the most contrast out of orange fiber rods and prefer them on shotguns and pistols.

FWIW, the human eye sees more shades of green than any other color. That is why night vision displays in green.

You guys don't have an issue with all green pins? Apparently green fibers hold the most light in low light situations.

Given every person who answered in regards to archery suggested green, I am going to say no. :D
