Wife got me a mini elk target and a husky guy in a red truck pulled up and gave me about a 100 lbs, of scrap soft lead for bullet casting for the flintlock. Did I mention he was quite jolly.

I got a bunch of stuff for my first elk hunt next year.. seek outside lanner, jetboil, phelps calls and tube, plus a black ovis gift card for a new pair of boots when crispis come back in stock. My wife rocks!

Havent bought one in forever, and I think its going to be a Hells Canyon, or break and grab a Tikka in the New Year..Would love some feedback once you shoot it please sir.

Update!

Received the most incredible gift tonight from my best friend's father. He spent two months, after his wife passed,, making this with copper gilding and solder with an amazing patina. A German piece of glass for a magnifying glass for map reading. Yes, I'm still a paper guy, he knew this. Enjoyed this with a glass of the scotch from Christmas from my brother in law. Can I say I cried People are amazing! How thoughtful
