What did you do in the reloading room today?

What model do you have?
I’m still trying to find my rhythm with this Lee 4stage. I got it second hand last summer. But as soon as something breaks I already know a Dillon is in my future.
I’ve owned the square deal b a 550b and now 550c. Planning to add a 750 when I have the space for it.

I like the manual operation of the 550 for rifle ammo. The square deal is an awesome pistol progressive press. I could really crank out the 9mm ammo with that baby!

Cleaned a bunch of brass today, annealed 100 pieces of 5.56 and ended up purchasing a Dillon 550 C. Should be a big help with loading 300 BLK, 5.56, and 38/357. Looking to do what I can to spend less time at the bench and more time at the range!

For those that you can dump powder and not have to trickle, you will love the 550.

Need to develop a new load. Loaded 1 round in .280 rem at slightly below max to look for pressure signs - 52 grains of H4350 and 140 NAB. Fired with no pressure signs and 2900 FPS. Will load 10 more and see how they group!

I got a new 6.5 creedmoor that I’ll be using for NRL hunter and probably some hunting as well. Did some load development with staball 6.5, H4350, and 147 ELDMs. 8 different loads and all shot very well. Going to run staball for the speed I was getting. H4350 on the top row and staball 6.5 on the bottom all 5 shot groups.

Loaded some additional, final, ultimate test loads for my 22-250 and a 55gr Norma bullet and H4895. I've had a heckuva time finding a way to differentiate the two best loads from each other to find the better one. Increases in sample size at 100y, 2nd round shoot offs, and ballistic comparisons haven't yielded a measurable difference. To hopefully settle this once and for all, I'm loading 10 shots of each and will shoot them at 200y. If that doesn't work, I'm flipping a coin!

Load workup for a buddy’s 6.5 PRC. StaBall HD, WLR, 156 EOL.

Gonna take it to the range and see which one it likes.

Hit the range. Three loads shot okay, under 0.8”, but the fourth load punched the ticket. Four shots. The first three went into the same hole.

Good enough for the girls I go out with.

Color me intrigued! What kind of performance do you see from that cartridge? Do normal 375 bullets function at the lower velocities?
Me too! I don't know yet. I'll be loading for both a 12" and a 16" barrel, neither gun is fully put together yet. Data is limited, but I'm expecting similar velocities to what one could expect from 300 blk supersonic. The bullet on the left is a Maker 190 grain mono made for Raptor velocities, I expect it to perform extremely well. I should get around 2600 fps-ish. The one on the right is a 270 grain Speer boat tail, that one not so much, maybe 2000 fps-ish. I won't be hunting with the 270 grain, but hopefully I can test the 190 on a whitetail this Fall. I'll post results in another thread once I get shooting.
