Worked up 20 of my Montana's favorite 257 Robts loads...100 TTSX sitting on 49.0 of Hunter, with CCI 200 fuses. Tweaking 3 different seating depths just to satisfy my curiosity.
Also annealed and prepped 100 addition cases of same.

I love all of the words in that post.

3070 fps with no signs of pressure. I could probably get a bit over 3100, but I've been happy here and see no need to change.

Obviously, if you try the load, back off 1 - 1.5 grains and work up.

Working on some 168 ABLR seating depth tests.
The first batch I just slammed in at 2.80 book length, but they weren't happy and grouped about 1.3
So I'm trying 2.82, 2.83, and 2.85 lengths next.
So the jump lengths will be

I've heard a few comments that 0.05 worked, and 0.02 worked. But these have a reputation of being a little picky even in a match grade barrel.

I can stack most any 165/168 bullet on 44 to 45 grains of Varget and get a cloverleaf, but these are going to make me work for it. Hopefully one or two of the groups will tighten up and then I can do a little fine tweak.
