My 'seated supported' is usually two trek poles plus an arrow shaft, up front, then two rubber-banded arrow shafts in rear. I like the concept of using a pack for a rear rest, but I don't actually get to hunt with a pack that often, certainly not a big backpack of the size that would serve well as a rest, which sort of limits the utility of that particular position for me, at least at the present time.
Of course, I'll freely acknowledge that my arrow shaft rear support has its own weaknesses, too.
