Office folks gave me some bourbon.

Pretty sure the Mrs. bought us a new LEM meat grinder with some of the Amazon gift cards...thats way past due.
Got some Darn Toughs and merino shirts from the parents...40 years old and they still buy me clothes...at least they are good useful clothes
I'll probably blow most of it on the kids. Get them some gear/tools etc.
The "getting" doesn't really mean much to me as I get older it seems...just money changing hands.

I get excited at the chance to gift someone something they arent expecting but actually like, need or will use...thats harder to do every year it seems.

No, I’m not a lousy parent. I’ve taken them twice and that’s enough for me. Their grandparents surprised them with the trip. They asked me to stay home and care for the animals..

Wow, you really lucked out. I’d pay money to not have go to Disney World. Enjoy the time to yourself.

Wife surprised me with some FirstLite gear. She splurged on the new Phase jacket and bibs. I think they’re too expensive for what they are, but I’m sure as hell gonna wear them! I was really excited about them at release tho. Can’t wait to try them.
