What caliber ? Belt fed ?

Can someone tell me what ammunition this is and it’s use ??? I think someone put the shells back in the belt by hand as usually the machine gun ejects the spent brass but I’m not sure . I’m assuming the LC on the head case is lake city ? But I’ve never seen a round like this ? Use and history ?

Look like 7.62 blanks. Tough to get scale even in the pen photo. Yes belt fed, reassembled as a souvenir. Matching gun training would be the purpose. M240 most likely. My personal favorite.

Appears you are corrects . Looks like a WWII era blank .

Would the 69 indicate the year? as in 1969? They are 7.62 and can be fired through the M60MG or the various configurations of the 240MG

Not sure, it definitely looks like a 30 cal case .
